Diciamo che è una delle poche città che non è facilissimo raggiungere via aereo : l'aeroporto più vicino è quello di Bajío (Aeropuerto Internacional), a 93 km da San Miguel de Allende, a 30 km della città di Leon.
Da qui, a seconda del budget, potete scegliere: autobus, taxi, Uber (consigliato: prezzi più bassi del servizio taxi ufficiale), o se avete prenotato un hotel, richiedere il servizio di trasferimento aeroporto-hotel.
In ogni caso in Messico ci si sposta principalmente con gli autobus: la Central de Autobuses collega quotidianamente San Miguel de Allende, da Città del Messico (4 ore), da Guadalajara (5 ore), da Santiago de Querétaro (1 ora), da León (2 ore).
Il clima è molto caldo e secco, poche piogge, e siccome l'escursione termica (sia in estate che in inverno) tra il giorno e la notte, è notevole, voglio dare un consiglio: un golfino sempre a portata di mano, sopratutto la sera!!!
Altro consiglio: prima di intraprendere la camminata nella città e partire alla scoperta dei suoi tesori, è utile e "sano" dotarsi di scarpe comode, basse e con gomma (scarpe da ginnastica!!!); ciò per evitare distorsioni delle caviglie e cadute, essendo le strade in un continuo sali-scendi, e sopratutto lastricate in pietra!!
Quindi... no assolutamente ai tacchi!!!!
How we get there:
San Miguel is one of the few cities not easy to reach by plane: the nearest airport is Bajío (Aeropuerto Internacional), 93 km from San Miguel de Allende, 30 km from the city of Leon.
Starting from here you can choose how to proceed, depending on your budget: bus, taxi, Uber (recommended: lower prices than the official taxi service), or if you have a hotel reservation, request the airport-hotel transfer service.
Anyway, in Mexico we mainly travel by bus: the Central de Autobuses connects San Miguel de Allende daily to Mexico City (4 hours), Guadalajara (5 hours), Santiago de Querétaro (1 hour) and León (2 hours).
The weather is very hot and dry, with few rains. The temperature range between day and night is considerable - both in summer and winter – so I give a little advice: always bring a sweater with you, especially the evening!!!
Another tip: wear comfortable, low-priced shoes with rubber (sneakers!!!) to walk through the city and discovering its treasures, to avoid sprains of the ankles and falls, being the roads in a continuous ups and downs, and above all paved in stone!!
So ... absolutely no heels !!!!

Il malore iniziale, viene subito sostituito dalle meraviglie che i nostri occhi incontrano passeggiando per le strade strette lastricate di pietra e contornate da edifici bassi dove prevale il color ocra, giallo, rosa.
Una cromia variegata intervallata da finestre, porte e portoni di ogni tipo e fattura, con un fascino personale.

E' un po' come il nostro "uovo di pasqua"... All'interno c'è sempre una meravigliosa sorpresa!

La più famosa a San Miguel de Allende, è El Jardin Principal, attorno al quale sorgono due dei più apprezzati edifici storici: il Palacio Comunal e la Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.

The most famous in San Miguel de Allende is El Jardin Principal, around which there are two of the most popular buildings: the Palacio Comunal and the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.
Girellando per la piazza, incontriamo carretti che vendono cibo, donne con bimbi che offrono i propri prodotti artigianali... E il venditore di cappelli... (un consiglio: se non ne avete uno, compratelo! Il sole picchia forte!!!).
Non mancherà di incontrare i Mariachi, un matrimonio o semplicemente bambini che giocano con la gioia della loro piccola età.
Ma le piazze sono tante ed ognuna ha una sua attrattiva: le chiese non mancano, gli artigiani non mancano, le persone non mancano.
Una scoperta della vita quotidiana messicana....

This market sells every sort of things: cheese, fruit, vegetables, clothing, fabrics and balls of cotton and wool in bright colours, family items, toys, antiques (I also found my Sony Alpha 7iii's "grandmother"), food preparations, electronic items, grindstones and countless dining points ...
It would be a mortal sin not to taste las "gorditas" sitting at tables together with the Mexican warmth, where friendship comes spontaneously and the willingness to help you is incredible!

Il "viaggio" tocca circa 20 punti cruciali della città: ogni luogo riflette una parte della storia, i suoi costumi e personaggi celebri.
Ogni viaggio dura circa 1h e 15m, e la guida turistica spiega i dettagli storici del posto, rendendo il viaggio più piacevole ed interessante.
Ci sono due punti nel percorso in cui si può scendere dalla tranvia per apprezzarne il valore: El Paseo del Chorro, e El Mirador de la Ciudad situato sulla via Salida Real a Queretaro, da dove si gode una vista panoramica mozzafiato dI San Miguel de Allende.

Each tour takes about 1h and 15m, and the tour guide explains the historical details of the place, making it more pleasant and interesting.

Durante una visita ad uno dei tanti ranch, dove allevano capre, i rancheros mi hanno fatto degustare una bevanda che è una "bomba"... in tutti i sensi!!!
Premesso che sono intollerante al latte, avevo un po' di timore ad ingurgitare un tazzone da mezzo litro di latte di capra appena munto, e quindi ancora caldo, corretto con cioccolato in polvere e... tequila!!!!
Alle 9 di mattina....
Alla fine Il latte non mi ha dato nessun problema... la tequila di prima mattina invece... beh! diciamo che mi ha aiutata ad affrontate la giornata con moooooolta allegria!!!
During a visit to one of the many ranches with they raise goats, the rancheros made me taste a drink that is a "bomb" ... in every sense !!!
Since I am intolerant to milk, I was a little afraid of gulping down a half-liter mug of freshly milked goat's milk, so still warm, corrected with chocolate powder and... tequila!!!
It was 9 am!!!
The goat milk gave me absolutely no problems... the tequila in the early morning instead... well, let's say that it helped me to face the day with soooooooooooooooooo much joy !!!

A proposito di caffè... nota dolente... abituiamoci a controllare che i bar o i ristoranti dove vorremmo goderci un "sano" caffè, siano dotati di macchina professionale (Cimbali per esempio) al limite chiedere se hanno la Nespresso... e chiedere SEMPRE "por favor, un espresso corto"... espresso basso... che comunque sarà sempre alto per i nostri gusti, Se chiedete semplicemente "por favor, un café", preparatevi ad una sostanza liquida scura in tazza super grande... il tipico caffè americano...
In tutti questi anni in Messico, ho bevuto un solo caffè degno del suo nome... e in un luogo dove non mi immaginavo che potesse esistere un bar e sopratutto gestito da messicani... ma questa è un'altra avventura...
